Just a random character, and still nameless..

Inspired by eating too much oatmeal mixed with milk and "busog-lusog" *weird!* :P

But this is somehow a mix-up of all the things I love.. :)

My Hand-Sewn Babies

My hand-sewn babies (sheepy not included)

They are all made from felt, thread, polyfil and love! :)

The Patapon keychain is my favorite. >.<

But I really don't have time to do this kind of craft anymore, and I still have lots of unused felt in various colors and a bag-full of stuffing. The only thing I hate while doing this kind of stuff is that it gives me a lot of eye strain, and I have to wear my glasses which I don't like at all.

Chibi Drawing: bbSHI's Trick or Treat

Please note that this is not a tutorial, and that I am just a self-taught artist, so what I know may not be right. This is just a product of constant practice, experimenting and observing other artists' works + patience with using computer mouse as my main tool.

Below are some simple steps on how I do my thing.

Tools:
— Paint Tool SAI 1.0
— Adobe Photoshop CS2 (for the texts)
— Computer Mouse

Total time spent:
— 2 hours

Featuring my OC bbSHI for Halloween 2011 :)

1. DRAFT

Drafted directly in Paint Tool SAI using pen tool with 50% density and 50% layer opacity.

And that's how dirty my drafts are!

2. LINEART

Lineart using SAI's Vector layer and Curve tool.

I don't really follow what's on my draft, I just need it as a guide. :)

3. APPLYING FLAT COLORS

This is the easiest part, and pretty self-explainable.

4. SHADING

Using Pen tool at 100% density.

I totally fail at shading.. OTL

Spotted so many mistakes, yet too lazy to edit! Just bear with it~ :P

5. MORE SHADING

Using Airbrush tool at minimal density..

6. ADDING HIGHLIGHTS & ALL!

and that is all folks! :D

New Changes For Art Freebies

I really need to do some changes with regards to my FB fanpage. This is to give myself more time, though no one is asking me to do this art requests thingy, it was my decision in the first place.:P

I love doing art requests, because they give me the challenge and a piece to practice my skills. It was through this process that I have achieved my current style and art skill level. If you have seen my drawings before, you can really see how much I have improved since I started the art request thread (at the old FlyFF forums) that I made 2 years ago. It was the passion to please and make the person requesting it happy.

Anyway, the changes I am talking about is:
1. Instead of using Facebook as the bridge for giving away art freebies, I will now be using my very own blog -» (http://bablih.blogspot.com).

2. Instead of doing requests by batches, I will now only be giving away one(1) free art request randomly, so there will be no more posting of schedules. You just need to stay updated!

The mechanics will now be:
1. Everyone who will make a comment on a certain blog post, will have a chance of winning.
2. The winner will be chosen using random.org or using the old fashion draw lots.
3. Drawing of lots, and the announcing of the winner will be done one week after. So you have one whole week to enter the draw.

The reasons for doing this is to keep my blog alive. Since this blog is the only thing I am planning on keeping here online, like I could quit Facebook any moment if I want to. Also I got tired of updating my Facebook fanpage. But the main reason is, I just realized how busy I am with my new job, and for sure for the coming weeks too - it will still be the same story. You see, my boss is very kind for giving me lots of opportunity to work on to, and I am very happy to accept them all as they go along my way every week. So in the end, it leaves me less time for other stuffs and less time to play online games. :D

Sorry, I told you, I'm not Santa Claus! :P

RAN Online: My New Hair Style & The Upcoming Server Merge

This is my first choice, I think it is really nice..

but it is too girly and common among female shamans..

(girly ≠ bablih)!!

This one is my final choice. Simply because it rocks! Astig!

BTW, bought the hair style card for 7M gold, if you buy this at the cash shop it is worth 45EP (Php45.00)

After quitting FlyFF, I thought we will be then living without any of these online games anymore, but I don't know why our system keep on searching for these kind of stuffs. Since that visit (after 3 years of quitting RAN Online), we found some good changes in-game that keep us coming back for more. :)

Among the changes after the "gold bug" or "dupli bug" is that market prices are now back to normal, there are lots of players now, before it was like a ghost town. But more than half of the active population are gunners (the new character). Because of their super imba skills, which I am hoping will be nerfed someday to bring the balance back. Even with this, I still love playing the role of a shaman.

BTW, there will be a server merge this month for servers Alamat, Kalayaan and Wrath, the new server name will be Rage. If you haven't heard or doesn't know the details, you better check this out -> [link] <- this is really important.

I still don't know what new name shall I give to my -raspberry`crush after the server merge, since I have another character with the same name in Wrath server. Same goes for my bb.. and having the "bb" names in RAN doesn't really fit where action and killing spree lies; unlike FlyFF -- where things are pa-cute.. :P
